Need a way to insert a cut section

My version: 9.4. I really miss having a way to insert a section cut from another area or another Excel file. It would be cool to have an option (like in the right-click menu) that lets you insert the cut section “in the row above.” Right now, dragging a selected section just overwrites the cells you drag it over, so you have to make space at the destination first.
To make space quickly, one idea could be to enable the “Redo” button once a row or column is inserted, so inserting 20 rows would be as easy as clicking 19 times. Another option could be adding an “Insert…” choice in the context menu that lets you type how many rows you want to insert.

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestions. The part about inserting a cut range with shifting existing data has already been registered in our internal tracker, and I’ve added your request to it so the team can take your scenario into account as well.

Regarding inserting several columns at once, please check this guide from our blog: How to add columns in Excel sheet. It describes several available methods, including using the right-click menu, keyboard shortcuts, and inserting multiple columns at once by selecting several columns in advance.

Please take a look at these options and let us know whether they work for your case and help you add rows or columns faster in your spreadsheet.
