add more countries to global regions including currency. for example using ₪ to represent money based numbers instead of showing ILS for israel. also, have the OS region as default

In the original platform a few important comments were posted, so it seems that the idea is not only to add new region, but to add the ability to customize regional settings.
We’re discussing this idea internally.
Please use the Regional Settings specified in Windows settings for Currency and Date formats. This will ensure that we don’t have to manually customize these–particularly Currency symbol, separators etc.
For instance, my Windows is set to English (India) and uses the ₹ symbol and the currency separators in most other applications are in hundreds of thousands (lakhs) rather than millions. By getting these settings from Windows, you don’t have to add exceptions for every country/language. The information is already there.
