Linux Mint - Printing bug - paper orientation is not respected

hello

I’ve come across this bug also in linux mint 22.1

Is there any update on a fix?

Hello @steveyh25
We are still working on it. I will update this thread once we have something to share.

We have similar issue on CentOS 7 derivative (RED OS 7) with Only office newer than 7.1.1.57 (on 7.1.1.57 it works fine).

When you try to print in Lanscape orientation. You receive Lanscape oriented content but cut at Portrait size width with empty space left and right.

To solve the problem you should set Landscape (desired) orientation in OnlyOffice, then press Print button. System printing dialog will pop up. Select Portrait orientation. In this case correct Lanscape page will be printed.

Another workaround is to use Quick print function (Ctrl+Shift+P) without printing dialog.

Dear @Corvex
We are still working on the bug mentioned in this thread. We will notify you once the fix is released.

Hello, i have the same issue on Mint Cinnamon 22 with Onlyoffice 9.0.3.29. I recently tried printing landscape on Zorin OS and it worked.

Hello @emollo
We will contact you once the fix is released.
Please accept our sincere apologies.

Hello,

I have the same problem on Ubuntu 25.04.

When printing in landscape orientation, the document is not rotated. It is printed in portrait mode, centered and cropped on both sides.
Type of documents : All types in Onlyoffice (DOCX, XLSX, PDF)
Other applications don’t have the issue (eg, printing landscape from Firefox or Document Reader is fine)

OS : Ubuntu 25.04 on HP EliteBook 850
OnlyOffice version : 9.04.50
Printer : Canon MG8250
Printer Driver : Canon MG8200 series - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.3.4

I could not find the log files for OnlyOffice on my system.

Regards,
Jean-Pierre
