When I use a formula in a calculation sheet to retrieve results from other sheets and then try to add them up, the cell containing ‘=sum’ remains blank. If I then save the sheet and reload it, everything works fine. Does anyone know of a workaround or a way to fix this?
G’day Juergen,
You may need to provide an example of your issue.
I tried a replica based on your description, and may have missed a critical point as there was no instance of a sum not being processed.
I created a workbook with a summary sheet, and 4 sheets of data, pulling in accumulations of the data from each sheet, and bringing in each piece of data from one of the other sheets, then accumulating those.
… no missing accumulations.

You did not mention which version you are using. The current version is 9.4.0.129, so if you are not using that, it may be prudent to update, and try again. But more importantly, is a need for more explicit details of your issue.

Example in the left Corner is my problem. But it is not a simple formula. My formula looks like that: =SUMMEWENNS(Ausgaben!$D$2:$D$1000;Ausgaben!$A$2:$A$1000;“=”&C$1;Ausgaben!$C$2:$C$1000;“=”&$B2) for many cells i have to summarize. My OnlyOffice Version is 9.4.0 (official update). I use OnlyOffice on MacOS V26 and Mac OS V27 beta. And just to remind you: when I enter the total, the total field remains blank. If I then save and open the document, everything is back to normal.
Hello,
To investigate this further, please provide the following:
-
Confirmation of whether the issue occurs in a new blank spreadsheet or only in this particular file.
-
A sample XLSX file demonstrating the issue, if it does not contain confidential data, along with steps to reproduce it. Alternatively, please provide a newly created minimal file that reproduces the issue.
-
Confirmation of whether Calculate Entire Workbook updates the cell without reopening the file. The formula calculation options are available on the Formula tab, including the option to recalculate the entire workbook.
Best regards!
As I’ve already mentioned, if I save the document and reload it, the error is corrected. This means that if I send you something, you won’t see the error anymore, as I have to save the document first. I’m now using the Euro-Office fork as a workaround. The error doesn’t occur there. So I’m not going to pursue this any further at the moment, as I’m able to carry on working.
Hello @Juergen
If you don’t mind, I’ll join this thread as well. I agree with the other posters that we need a sample of the file where the issue occurs.

If possible, please prepare a sample file before applying the formula and let us know how and where we should apply it so that we can troubleshoot the issue properly.
