Hello everyone,
I’m using ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors v9.2.1 on macOS and have run into a persistent issue with the equation editor.
The Problem:
I accidentally clicked the “Hide Equation Toolbar” option (introduced in v7.5) while editing an existing equation. Now the dedicated toolbar for symbols, fractions, etc., is gone and I cannot get it to reappear to continue editing that specific equation. I searched the forums and release notes and see that the “Hide Equation Toolbar” feature was added in v7.5. A post from Feb 2023 also mentions that the “new equation toolbar… usually covers the equation from the line above,” indicating a UI/behavior change around that time. This suggests the method to restore it might differ from older versions or common expectations.
Core Question:
In the current interface (v9.2.1), what is the correct method to restore the Equation Toolbar for an already-inserted equation after it has been hidden? Is it a specific shortcut, a hidden toggle in a settings panel, or a known issue?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. For now, my workaround is to create a new equation and rewrite the old one, which is not ideal.
Thank you.
