In my document I would like to change the column gap for the entire document.
Currently I have to go to Layout-columns-more… And set to 2 and the column gap.
Would be great to have a checkbox: Make default

Sorry - no.
But in MS Word you can apply the spacing to the whole document, which basically does the same.
