OnlyOffice chokes on long documents. I am a novelist and the software freezes, the search and find tool is faulty, and I want a version that is almost as simple as a typewriter. I have no need of :

I want to be able to control page size by the use of sliders on the vertical and horizontal rulers. I want margins and tabs to be absolutely fixed by using sliders. Every word processor I have used produces wandering tabs in long documents. The only fonts: Times New Roman, Arial or Calibri, italic and Bold. I want to type in 98 degrees with the degree symbol available on the keyboard, not buried in special characters.
The editor freezing or becoming unresponsive when working with long documents, as well as the Find/Search tool working incorrectly, is not expected behavior. To help us investigate the cause, please provide the following information:

Regarding the interface, we understand that a focused, typewriter-like writing mode would be useful for working on long manuscripts. We are working on improvements in this area. In particular, we have registered feature requests for a Compact Toolbar mode and for the ability to customize the functions displayed on the top toolbar and the quick access toolbar. We will add your use case to these requests.
Regarding the rulers, margins, and tab stops, could you please clarify the expected behavior with a short video or screenshots? In particular, please show how you set the margins or tab stops using the rulers, what changes after working further in the document, and what you mean by “wandering tabs.” This will help us understand whether this is a display issue, an unexpected change in tab-stop positions, or a different workflow requirement.
