Hi

When I want to apply conditional cell formatting using a formula based on the pattern: IF D1=“XXX” then color cells A1:C1 green and then save the table, the formatting is ineffective after reopening the table, meaning that it is no longer applied.

If I then change any character in the formatting, save it, and execute it once, the entire formatting works again.

Is this bug already known, or are there any working solutions for it?

I work in .xlsx format, but switching to .ods format does not improve the situation.

Hey @wilma, 👋

Thanks for the report!

To reproduce and test it faster on our side, could you please:

1. Record a short video showing the steps from start to finish:

2. Attach the sample .xlsx file (or a minimal version that shows the issue).
You can upload it directly to this thread.

This will help us see exactly what’s happening and confirm if it’s a bug.

Also, just a quick note: the primary format for ONLYOFFICE is OOXML (.xlsx for spreadsheets). When you open .ods files, they are internally converted to .xlsx for editing — so switching to .ods won’t change the behavior here.

Thanks a lot for your help — looking forward to the video/file!

Hi Nikolas,

here is the Link to my Video [Bugreport - Cell formatting formula](https://drive.proton.me/urls/YBYQ273008#MlXDMT7Oclzg)

The Bug has changed a little bit since updating OO to 9.3.1

Now i have to delete one formatting formula and renew it to get all of them working again.

Unfortunately as a new user, i can´t attach files, so here is another [LINK](https://drive.proton.me/urls/RZ14P74Y8G#ns2zEXLMpTvU) to the File.

After saving it, it will now not work, unless one Formula will be deleted and renewed.

Hope everything is ok so and I can help fix the bug and improve OnlyOffice a little bit.

Hi @Nikolas

did you receive or watch my short video and the demo file?

And do you find it useful?

This bug is incredibly annoying, and it would be great if I could help fix it.

Best regards

Yes! Sorry for not replying sooner — I got your video and the demo file, and I’ve passed both to the team for review.

I’ll post an update here as soon as we have any results or a fix in sight.
Thanks again for the clear repro steps and files!

Hey @wilma, 👋

We’ve logged the bug (№80763) with conditional formatting rules based on formulas (the rules disappear after saving and reopening the file).

We also noted that the issue does **not** occur on version 9.2.1 and started appearing after the update to 9.3.x.

I’ll let you know here as soon as the team has any progress or a fix.
Thank you again for your help with reproduction — it’s really appreciated! 🤗
