Behaviour: Program state is as if Alt has been pressed after task switching back from another application. Yellow boxes indicating available commands are all visible. Need to click once somewhere in the interface or press Alt again, otherwise any further keystrokes are taken as command input.
To replicate: Open any OnlyOffice document. Use Alt-Tab to switch away to another application. Use Alt-Tab again to switch back to OnlyOffice. Observe that OO has captured an Alt press and is waiting for additional letters to be typed for command input.
Note: this only applies when switching between OO and another different application. It does not occur when switching between OO windows. I suspect this may have something to do with how a flatpak app interacts with the operating system.
Version information: Desktop editors 9.0.4.50 (flatpak) on Fedora Linux 42 (KDE Plasma with Wayland).
Hello @linuxkangaroo
I’ve tried to reproduce it on my Fedora PC, but without success. Could you please try to reinstall the app and confirm that the issue still persists?
Dear @JaYMaN
Please let us know your OS version and provide us with Neofetch/Fastfetch output result as well.
I have uninstalled the Flatpak and installed Desktop Editors from the repo (RPM).
I can confirm the same behaviour occurs with the RPM, just like the Flatpak - no difference.
Interesting that we’re on the same distro and desktop environment. Could be something specific to an interaction with KDE. I guess they’ll figure it out.
Thank you everyone for the provided data, we have found a bug in the described scenario. We have started working on it.
Temporal workaround solution is disabling “Use Alt key to navigate the user interface using the keyboard” parameter in the editor’s advanced settings.
