After "Text Edit" save and reopen, characters become invisible and spaces dissapear

After using the “Text Edit” option from “HOME TAB” –> “TEXT EDIT” all the edits are perfectly fine, everything looks great but after saving the document and then viewing it from another pdf viewer but also opening the file again with ONLY OFFICE randomly letters are just invisible, and spacing between words seems to get deleted, the weird thing is when selecting to edit the text box again the text pops back to being visible and any missing spaces are readded and all the formatting looks fine.

caveat: now the document may have been edited from an ealier version of ONLY OFFICE as I’m on Garuda Linux and it uses pacman package manager to install ONLY OFFICE and I’m not sure what version I was running before, but I’ve moved to v9.4.0 and this issue persists, so I may need to remake the entire document from the original PDF with this version to confirm my results.

I am editing this file on from a NAS accessible drive the communication is via a samba linux server, with file locks while editing, compatibility ACL’s for windows to be compatible with linux, mac os, and windows, as well as a file versioning control for file edits as the drive is apart of a zfs pool, using posix to control ACL’s and file versioning.

I’ve just determined it is only the leter D that seems to have dissapeared, it seems to have become a blank space character, as for the deleted spaces it looks like it’ is related to any BOLDED text, preceeding and following spaces are removed.

I’ve started from scratch on a new PDF file and can confirm in 9.4.0 that

  • all the letter “d” are changed to a space character or a blank character of some kind
  • that all BOLD text loses spaces on either side
  • that the embeded font properties are not the same as the original document
  • when pressing the space key the font changes the embeded font to something else that isn’t a font on my machine.

Could you share the original PDF (before any editing) and the saved PDF (after Edit Text)? We’d like to reproduce this on our side.
