A few special characters use fallback font instead of microsoft fonts

I make heavy use of diacritics for roman transliterated text from Sanskrit. This makes use of certain special characters. However, as you can see in the image attached, OnlyOffice appears to use fallback fonts for these instead of the MS fonts like Times New Roman. I am sure that Times has these characters since I used it back when I was on Windows running Word.

Could you please look into this issue? I am on CachyOs.

Thanks! Aside from this OnlyOffice has been wonderful and has made my switch to Linux more smooth.

The image didn’t get attached in my post. Here it is. Thanks and apologies.

Hello, thanks for reporting this.

To check it properly, could you please clarify a few details for us:

  • Are you using ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors or ONLYOFFICE Docs in a browser?
  • What exact ONLYOFFICE version do you use?
  • Which exact fonts are used in your case?
  • Could you please also clarify how exactly you insert diacritics in the editor: via copy/paste, keyboard input, or Insert → Symbol?
  • If possible, please record a short video showing the issue step by step.
